We are the Web

We are the web. Really. We are. We choose what we want and what we don't want. If it wasn't for the brains of Ted Nelson we would be lost and stuck to telephones and postage stamps.

At one point the article states, "Not only did we fail to imagine what the web would become, we still don't see it today! We are blind to the miracle it has blossomed into."

I agree with this article that we have taken the internet for granted. I for one will admit that I do. I use the internet all the time to creep on people through facebook, check my e-mail 24/7, and watch my weekly shows that I miss during their original air time.

Growing up I never really had the internet until I was about 10 or 11. I don't know how I lived without it. My parents didn't even have cell-phones until I was about 12. I would be lost without my cellphone. If we take for granted the things we currently have, ten years from now things will change and we may be lost in technology with no real way out.
