These two videos were all about copyright and laws. I didn't really like A fair(y) tale use. It was humorous because it was a bunch of different disney movies combined, and I understand that it was trying to get the point across about copyright and what's right and wrong but it really didn't do much for me.
Good Copy Bad Copy although long, was interesting. It's main thesis was about creativity, and if a balance isn't made, the right of those who own property and the rights of future generations will insanely change. It documents the conflict between current copyright law and recent technological advances that enable the sampling of music as well as distribution of copyrighted material via peer-to-peer sharing.
I found this rather interesting because I will admit that I illegally download music all the time, along with almost every other college student today. We never really think about how much of a problem it is, until we watch something like this. We're doing something illegal, something that could really affect our lives. Copyright laws are there for a reason and we should follow them. I don't know about anyone else but I don't want to go to jail.
