I really liked this first reading of the semester. It all focused on the new ways we communicate and I feel that's all our world is really focused on today; which is the new media ways we communicate.
Digital Media really does raise issues and questions as we try to understand new things. "When they are new, technologies affect how we see the world, our communities, our relationships, and our selves. Face-to-face conversations are now replaced with webcams and postage mail is now replaced with e-mails.
People are concerned that our communication has become increasingly shallow. What I have noticed is that the older people are, the less that they understand the new technology. It's hard to stay up to date with all the new media that is thrown at the world. I believe that you cannot just frustrated with what's brought upon us, we just have to learn to adapt and understand what the new ways of communication can do for us and our futures.
